Preg checking

This is always an adventure at our ranch. We have the vet, Diana, Shawn, Alma, and Honey all helping today. That means I get to sit on the outside of the pen and write numbers on the tags, refill vaccine syringes, change needles, and today, run and open the gate into the bull pen to put the open cows in. It also means that I can take a few pictures--a rare occasion.


A new brand for a new-comer.
Thanks, Di, for stepping in and branding for us. This is usually my job, along with vaccinating
whatever is in the shute
Alma is putting a new tag in her ear. It helps us identify her as ours, and the number tells us where she come from and approximately how old she is.




Honey is bring the cows up the alley to the shute. It was so nice to have him help us. He doesn't get to help us very often.
You know, people to buy cows from and cows to look at.
