Stake Champs!

Brooklyn, Emily, Katelyn, Brayden(cheerleader), Savanna
Abby, Alli, Lexie
Hollie
This fun bunch have had a blast playing church ball.  They have had some crazy shots, skipped down the court, fell into the chairs, taken out their own team mates, come up with funny cheers, and almost scored an "own goal".  It has been so much fun to watch them and not laugh too hard and try to "coach" them.  Colette, Natalie and I have mostly subed them in and out and cheered them on and that is the extent of our coaching.  They get to play at region--a first for our ward!
Go Girls!

Laurel Eyebrows

Teresa, Alli, Sierra, Kelsey
We had my sis come and talk about skin care and then she waxed the girls eyebrows.  Hence the funny faces of some.  Who would have thought that having pain inflicted would be so much fun! These girls are so much fun to be with and I am glad they let me have fun with them.

Cupid Strikes Again!

Bryan brought home these beautiful flowers to me for Valentines.  I love the variety of colors and kinds of flowers.  The purple ones smell so good.

This is my favorite flower in the bunch.   It is a tropical of some sort.

Sierra and Jeff had a fun Valentine date.
Taking pictures!

Savanna also got flowers for Valentine's day!
Aren't they cute?
These cupcakes are our favorite!  Vickie makes them for us every year and they don't make it more than one day at our house.  They have a small circle of pie dough in the bottom, and then raspberry jam, and then cake and frosting.  Delicious!

Sweethearts Dance

Sierra and her friends had a great time at the girls choice Sweethearts dance.  She took Jeff and they had dinner at our house.  They ordered food from the Olive Garden and I picked it up and plated it for them.  It was a great idea and made my job a lot easier.  Auntie Kelly did her hair again.  Sierra found some cute purple feathers to put in her hair and they were so cute!

A day in the life...

I have so few pictures of me, especially in the blog.  Mostly because I don't like to see myself in a  picture.  I pick it apart and end up cutting it out.  So, dispite the top of my head being cut off, here you go.
Today:  5:20 a.m.  The alarm went off and I got up to get ready for my morning workout at Crossfit
I read scriptures until 5:55 and headed to Logan to be there at 6:15.  Jackson caught a ride with me to Planet Fitness.
7:30 a.m.  Back home and just in time to kiss the girls good-bye as they head to school.  They cuss because I didn't set breakfast out for them this morning.  Bryan, Jackson and I enjoy a quick bite of toast and yogurt for me and JB and cereal for Bryan. Jackson leaves at 8.
8:30 a.m.  Bryan heads to the office to catch up on paperwork from the weekend.  I clean up the house and finish the tax forms I am tardy in finishing and mail them off.  Bryan returns at 11;30 for a sack lunch to take to Riverton, Wy. with him.  It's not like there is a McD. in the middle of Wyoming.  I take a few minutes and finish the Hocus Pocus quilt block I have been working on.
1:00 p.m. I have a presidency meeting at Colette's  YEA!  I love these girls.
3:00 p.m.--yes it did last 2 hours but we had a lot to discuss! (hee hee)  I pick up Savanna and go visit Grandma Marge and then go home to Sierra teaching Grandma Reay piano lessons.
4-7:00 p.m. the piano is constantly making music!  Savanna is making treats for mutual after her lesson is finished.
8-? p.m.  Family Home Evening!  We have a great story from the Ensign about a tour guide from Peru that takes people to Machu Pichu.  Very motivating.  After that a lovely movie we have been waiting to see!

Bryan in his favorite spot with his favorite blankie!

Cookies!

The tools of the trade
Do you still want to lick the beaters?
That is the one thing I remember asking my mom that my kids also ask me--still!

Into the oven with these little gems!
This was a new recipe from a "hometown" cookbook.  They were delicious-especially with a glass of milk!

I wish the counter was always this clean!
This is a working kitchen.  With three teens in the house someone is always  hungry.  So, someone is always cooking something and they feel justified in leaving the mess because they fixed something for everyone to eat! (I fix, you clean)
We do get to try lots of new recipe's but we also run the dishwasher at least twice each day!

Polar Plunge

For the second year in a row, Savanna is participating in the Polar Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics.

As you can see, It is a rainy and cold day.  Not the 20 degrees that it was last year but standing out in the rain wasn't exactly warm.

The long walk.

A-one-and-a-two

She couldn't get out of there fast enough.  We went straight to the car and straight home to a warm shower!  Good job Savanna!
You crazy woman, you!

Winter Wonderland

It took me a year to complete this quilt and then I sent it to be quilted which took another year.  It was worth it!  It looks amazing.  I am so excited to have it done and hanging on the wall!

Chelsie

I got a new camera and Chelsie was the only one home for me to take pictures of!

YW Basketball

Lexie, Brooklyn, Alli, Hollie

The Team
Alli
Emilie, Savanna, Hollie

We have an awsome team!  This is the first year that they have won a game and they have won all 4 of them!  They are hilarious to watch.
YW basketball is really a whole new game barely related to the original game.  They are silly and have some wild shots and a few wild fouls that are mostly innocent because they don't really understand the rules.  We have had the opportunity to be more than 20 points ahead of the opposing team (Thanks, Katelyn) and had to back off the full court press.
Try explaining that to a team of 7 that only 3 of them have played much.
Anyway, it is a great thing to watch.
The YM have started to come to be entertained as well.
OK, they are cute girls, the boys can't help themselves!

January Tennis

Nice Serve!

Savanna played in a tourney at the Sport's Academy.  She hadn't picked up a racket since the end of October.  She won her first game and lost her second.  It was fun to watch her and then watch the Austrailian Open.  I am slowly learning the game and the rules and how to keep score.
