The Canadian's

Hanna, Jill, Lucy, Austin (aka Blondie), Karlie, Kaylynn
Our favorite Canadians came for a visit and we were lucky enough to host them for dinner.  They came on a Sunday that we were getting a new Bishopric and Austin had been in the previous Bishopric so it was a good day to see lots of friends and to have him be recognized as such a support to the out-going Bishop.  Our new Bishop is Seth Seyfried with Allan Smith and Ivan Mercado as Counselors.  Bishop got up on the next Sunday and apologized for his "Youthful Exuberance" as he called it.  He is going to do a great job with his youthful exuberance to help him...I think anyway.

Ski Day!

We all went skiing on MLK day.  Savanna and I were going to just go to Beaver, but Jackson said he would go if we went to the Canyons.  So we went!  Sierra said she was also in if we were going there.  She was very careful to not hurt her still-healing jaw.
The white trailer behind us is the potty in the parking lot.

Sierra, Savanna, Jackson

This is coming down through the houses.  It would be fun to live and ski there.
There isn't much snow.  It is not a good deal.  We really need more.

Sierra, Savanna, Mom

I didn't crash once all day!  I was so proud.  I came close a couple of times but I was able to save it!  It hurts my pride most of all!

Sweetheart's Valentines Dance

Savanna ask Loren Derr to the dance and he answered her by bring this huge box of shredded paper over.  She had to dig through it to find puzzle pieces in baggies.

The puzzle led her to a scripture that said "He Would".
Very cute!

Of course we went dress shopping!
We loved the white one.  The sweetheart neckline was so flattering and the dress was very fun.

But, this yellow sparkly one won out.  It has a very flattering fit and is fun and sparkly, which is very important.  I think it is modest and that is very important!
She looks beautiful.

Stake Relief Society

Bryan's job on the High Counsel is to help the Relief Society.
He does such a good job.  He faithfully goes to their presidency meetings and helps with Stake Activities.
This was a nice luncheon after Pres. Gittins of the temple presidency and Dr. Horsley, an OB/GYN, spoke to us.  It was so good.  Bryan made sure the food was all ready for us when we got done.
Megan Woolstenhulm, Rhonda Welch, Carmalee Ellison, Sister ? (I forgot her name!)

Snow Shoe

Courtney, Jackson and I snow shoed to the canal behind Allan's house.  Courtney made it to the top and then needed a rest.  It is almost a mile up there, and it is mostly, ok, all up hill.  She was a trooper and walked back down the hill--we didn't have to carry her. (Just kidding Court)

This is another day of snow shoeing.  Notice how blue the sky is and how much sun there is.

This is looking to the North--- gunky air!

This is looking South-East toward Charlie's in Paradise.  It was even gunky there, which isn't usually the case.  I will not be sad to see January go.

Night Ski at the Beav

Mathew and Savanna having hot chocolate in the lodge.

Blurry but cute!
I haven't been night skiing for a few years.  It has been too cold and bad snow.  I am much more careful about falling than I used to be.  I don't bounce like I used to!
It was really good this year and I had fun.  The Young Men from our Ward encouraged me to go off some jumps and follow them and I didn't crash!

Hyrum City Youth Counsel

Savanna is on the Youth Counsel again this year.

This is half of the group to be sworn in.  They do good service projects around town and have fun doing it!

Of course, Shantel is on the counsel too.  You should always drag your best friend along whenever you can!

Sweet!

We keep seeing a lot of this cute red-head.  He is such a nice guy and is kind to Savanna.
They have fun together and it makes me realize how important it is to teach kids good things and then hope for good friends to keep them on track!

Vanity

So, for the past two years I have had extentions in my hair.  I absolutely love them!  I have never had hair to speak of.  It beaks, it frys, it is thin and fine like frog-fur.  So after two years of not cutting my hair or anything this is still as long as it is.  Do I feel vain?  Ya, a little, is it worth it?  Heck ya!

Christmas Eve 2013

Savanna and Sierra sharing appetizers at Marge's

There is always plenty to eat on Christmas Eve.  This year the ham was my favorite.  But this salad was so pretty and delicious!

Hi Chloe!

The grands and their Nativity.

Silly Sisters!

After the party, Courtney wasn't feeling well so her and Jackson headed home.  He called me on the way and said she was itchy and feeling like her throat was swelling.  They headed to the hospital and I came right behind them.  I took this picture about 15 minutes after they gave her the Epi.  We stayed at the hospital for 4 hours...not exactly how I intended to spend my first hours of Christmas!  When I called her mom I said it was my turn to take care of the sick and afflicted since she had to take care of Jackson last year when he had his appendix out.
They are officially grounded from Christmas!!
