Savanna performed for her spring recital. She played so well and it is so fun to hear her. Brayden had to hold the cover of the piano up so it wouldn't fall down on her fingers. It was a faulty cover. She played Hexentanz by McDowell

Mantua to Clay Valley
Hank and I pushing the cows up the hill. They were out of shape and wanted to eat the whole way up!
Brad and Alma were behind me bring up the slow calves.
This bull got tired and headed down the steep side hill near the top of the canyon. I got off my horse and got below him, hoping to drive him back up to the road where the cows were. He finally did climb back up. It was a steep climb and I was nervous about finding a snake in the rocks because it was warm there. Thankfully, I didn't.
Sierra's Memorial Day Hike
Sierra, Krecia, Shandee, Amy
Sierra-reaffirming that she can do hard things!
They hiked around Tony Grove and White Pine Lake in Logan Canyon.
I tried to invite myself but was reminded that it was a "friend" hike.
Memorial Day
I took this lively bunch to set flags out for Memorial Day. It was a bit chilly but it warmed up nicely.
We went to breakfast in Paradise and visited the cemetery. The wildflowers looked very nice.
In the afternoon, Sierra helped us get some cows into the meadow. It was a great day!
Sink Hole
This is all that is left of the water in the pond by the corrals. It never holds much and it is the end of may. The wildlife get to enjoy it more than the cattle will.
We try to pick a bunch of wild flowers to put on Sharell's grave for Memorial day. This is part of the bouquet for this year. The bluebells hadn't opened up yet. It was his favorite place and it is a good time to remember all the great adventures we had together there. It has been six years since he passed and in some ways it seems forever ago and so much has changed, but in other ways, it seems like it was yesterday. I sure do miss talking horses and riding together. I wonder what he would think of some of the horses we have now. Some he would like and some he wouldn't at all. One thing is for sure, I intend on riding as long as he did!
