Savanna is the photographer today.
Spring is coming, I am sure of it. Today is the first day of spring even. The sure sign of spring is not cute little flowers, warmer temps, and new babies. All of those things are nice, and are starting to show up. No, the sure sign of spring seems to be the onset of scours in the Meadow! We have thirty first-calf heifers that we are calving here. It is a really convenient place to calve but we have a bad bug in them this year.
We are drenching them and giving shots and watching and hauling them to the vet and praying, and saving almost all of them. It is exhausting and frustrating to see them suffer. I hope to see April sooner than later!
