Ring

Savanna went swimming with friends and had a great time, but her mood ring that a cute boy gave her wouldn't stay on so she put it on another finger-a bigger finger.  It wouldn't come off.  We tried soap, butter, cold water soaking and it wouldn't budge.  Her finger wasn't turning colors so we went to bed with thoughts of going to the doctor in the morning.  When she woke up nothing had changed except her finger was a bit swollen from all the roughing it up so we called Alma to see if he thought that he could cut it off with side cutters or something.  He said it would hurt but he would give it a try.  Savanna was already nervous about the doctor so she agreed.  He brought his tools and my needle nose pliers and cut it right off!  Better yet, it didn't hurt--too much.  Her finger had a nice "ring" around it all day, but she was no worse for the wear!
