Our Visit to Frank's in Leamington

This is Frank's house.

Frank had pts, chickens, peacocks, pheasants and dogs running around his place.  it reminded me of my dad's!

 He has a wrap around porch on the back of the house that over-looks the river.

Bryan and I went to Leamington to ship two loads of heifers that Frank Vincent had raised.  They were a nice set of mostly charolais cross calves.  I have known Frank and spoke to him on the phone for twenty three years now and had never met him.  He is always funny and good to visit with.  He had a nice place down in the desert and it was interesting to hear how he runs a ranch with all the challenges of not much water.

These are an amazing bunch of friends!  We have a great time working together.  Bryan says we talk way too much, but we love each other and love to be together.  I am inspired by their love of the Lord and their creativity in many areas.  I am so blessed to have them.

MTC friends

Jackson had this great bunch of friends come and stay at our house last weekend.  They were so kind and so much fun to have around.  We took them all on a horse ride and they got to see a couple of bald eagles and some new born calves.  They are:  Courtney (SLC), Steven (Florida), Jill (Alpine), Austin (West VA), and Jackson.  They are going to school or working here in Utah. 
Jackson had to speak in our Stake Conference and  they all came to hear him.  They played their guitar, violin, and our piano and sang.  We were lucky to have them come.

Sun or Moon?

If you can believe this it is the moon setting the other morning.  It was the only clear morning of the full moon week and when I looked out the window at 6:15 a.m. this is what I saw. I grabbed my camera and my coat oh ya, and my slippers, and ran outside. 

 It was an amazing sight.

  I wanted to go wake my sleeping family and show them all, but then I quickly realized that I would have to pay dearly for that lapse of judgement later in the day.  So I enjoyed the few minutes that it lasted and went in and thanked God for giving me another tender mercy.



I have been busy "resting" the past two weeks.  I have cross-stitched,

 I have crocheted hats, and hair ribbon flowers in assorted colors,

I have made curtains for Dianna's windows,

I edited my very own book--ok it is my blog book and it turned out great!  If you are interested in the web site it is blurb.com .

I had these four quilts done but I needed to put the bindings on, so now they are all done too!

This doesn't count all the little cleaning jobs, reading, entering ranch stuff on the computer, preparing papers for taxes and sleeping that I have also done.  What a restful time I have had.  hee hee

Sierra's Gift

Sierra has this special skill.  She doesn't always enjoy doing it, but I am glad that she takes care of her dad's feet, because feet gross me out.  He has the nicest looking toes in the family (next to Sierra's) and no one gets to see them because he always has shoes and socks on.  There are occasions in the summer when they get some sun, but it is rare.  Thanks, Sierra

Get Well Flowers

I recently had a minor surgery and  I received the most beautiful flowers.  This is just a sampling of my favorite parts of the bouquet.  Kelly, my sister gave me the bouquet with the orange Gerber and Bryan gave me the pink Lily. 
I do love flowers.
They make everything feel better.
It would be Bryan's dream to own a nursery or a flower shop because he loves flowers too.
I wish I had skills in this area.  I am sure I could learn how to grow them better, but my arranging skills are poor at best.
Maybe some day when  &*##  freezes over.
