I found this cute picture of Sierra from this summer.  Doesn't it look inviting?  She had a great time boating with friends at Hyrum Dam.  I thought it would be nice to see warm weather when it is not exactly warm here!

Hats

Sierra came home with a photo of this cute hat.  She ask if I could crochet  her one so I gave it a try and these are what I came up with.  The green one is supposed to be an owl.  I think they turned out so cute!  The pink one has fuzzy eye-lashes.

Hyrum City Youth Counsel

Sierra applied for and was chosen to be on the youth counsel for Hyrum.  She got to be sworn in by Jack, the judge.  They have already got a trip to the legislature planned and she is unsure whether or not htis qualifies as fun but she is excited to go and be with her friends who are also on the counsel!

Jackson takes his camera to Beaver about every time he skiis.  He takes great video's of his friends and they take some of him.  He took the top three pictures and his friend, Shane, took the bottom one.  I am easily impressed, but I think they look pretty darn cool.

When Jackson returned, he wanted to get a pull-up bar.  Every store we went in he'd find them or ask about them.  The girls got him one for Christmas.  Now, whenever we pass by it, which is often because it is at the bottom of the stairs, we do a pull-up or a roll-over.  I do not have a lot of moldings in my house so this is the only place we can put it.  The funny thing is that there is a light right above our heads.  Bryan hit his head on the light.  Luckily he didn't break it.  He no longer does one when he passes by.   We are going to be so tough--I hope!

1000 Nice Cow

When we bought this cow we didn't know she would let us pet her.  Jackson always ask if he could pet a cow when we were feeding so I told him sure and she let him!  We were all shocked.  Her name is 1000, not a cute name but typical for our ranch. 
Jackson is trying to ride her.  She will let us pet her--nothing else, not try to bump a calf, not milk, and expecially not ride! 
She does have her pride.

Happy New Year 2011

We had a terrific New Years party at the White's house.  Jon fed us amazing prime rib among other things.  The kids each had their own party to go to after dinner and only Jackson's party was at our house, so things were pretty quiet!  After the White's we went to the Greenig's and played a few games with friends,  and we still didn't stay up until midnight!  We are no fun.  At least that is what the children think.
