Morning Glory

My Morning Glory is getting out of hand!  It has entangled my chair.  It has grown about ten feet up the deck.  It is so cute but it sure can take over!

Duel in the Desert

Katie, Savanna, Bonnie
We stopped in Provo on our way to St. George to have dinner.  Costa Vida--our favorite!

The clouds were so pretty!  It has been raining a lot in St. George the past two weeks!  We hoped for good weather to play in and we were blessed with it!

I got up on Friday morning and went for a run and their was a hot air balloon near our home!

Savanna, Kimber, Katie
Kimber was her doubles partner for this tournament while Katie's foot heals

Nice shot Banjo!

The pool party!
Kylee, Ronnie, Heather, Katie, Savanna

This is Saturday morning. Notice the large crack in the court.  It was not a good court!

We went to Mad Pita Express for lunch and it was fabulous!
The baklava was ok--definitely not Aunt Maryann's!

Savanna was exhausted!
We also stopped at the Sweet Tooth Fair to get a cupcake.  There is a saying under the pictures that says:
"If you are what you eat, eat something cute!

This is the team that went to St. George.

It was a fabulous trip, but boy is it a long drive!

Tennis at Logan High

Savanna and Kayla
Kayla is not her regular doubles partner but Katie broke her foot so she gets to play with Kayla!

Hay Climbing

I climb onto the lip of the bottom bale and pull myself up onto the second and crawl over the third bale.  The fourth bale is only a single so it is easy, but the fifth and sixth bale I have to wedge my foot between them and pull myself up.  Piece of cake!
Why?  To pitch hay off the other side to the cows, of course!

More Gathering

The calf on the left of the red cow is her calf.  He is so big!
Good grass!

Alma
We are coming off the hill in Jon White's.  It hooks on to both Young's and our piece at Charlie's.  It took us a couple of hours to get there.

Bryan and Neville

This little guy was hiding in the grass outside the corrals at Charlie's.

Loading at Peterson's

We had 200 head of yearling steers on feed in the hills West of Avon.  We spent two days gathering them into a holding pen and then we ran them into this corral.  It is on a domestic elk ranch and so the corrals were big and sturdy.

Half of the steers were Scott Sandall's.
He and Mitch came to help load the trucks.
Allan also came to help load as he and Donny are friends.

The guy in the cowboy hat is our seasonal hired man names Johnathan.
He is a good worker.

Bryan and Matt, the Brand Inspector.

The trucks have a difficult time getting in and we were glad that it was uneventful getting them loaded.

This is Donny.

Adjusting the Plate

This is the before...again.  It's been two weeks since her surgery and the Oral Surgeon wants to adjust the plate in her jaw.  He promises it won't be as bad as surgery.  He is doing it in his office, but she will still be sedated.  The swelling isn't even completely gone from the first time.

Before

This is a day after the oral surgeon adjusted the plate.  She does feel really good--thankfully since school starts in less than a week!  Her nose is still quite swollen but it looks better and her teeth line up better on the inside.  Unfortunately,  the doctors are talking about re-doing her bottom jaw in December.  I think not...at this point.  It is easy to say but it is her body and her healing.  She has had her appearance altered twice now.  She is already so beautiful.
